Open source Backup software? Something like Acronis

I have been using Acronis True Image Server for a few years now and really have enjoyed how good it has worked. The only problem is the cost of a license, 600-700 bucks. Does anybody know of something floating around in the open source community that can compare to Acronis in the OS imaging and ghosting dept? Thanks

Are you looking primarily at deployment imaging? Or periodic imaging for recovery purposes?

I would be interested in the latter...seems everything that really works is extremely expensive. I would like the ability to image periodically for grandfather level backups.

Hmm, I have also used Acronis and I am not sure if there's something similar available for free. Maybe you find some good backup solution on this site. Of course, there are those free online backup services but they're not too reliable and limited to a small amount of data. Carbonite is also nice but as far as I know it's expensive, too.
