For the Mac users/supporters out there...I have a couple questions:

1. What are your Mac desktop users using for a monitor/display? Just curious about what brand, model and size.
2. What amount of memory are you running in the Macs that run PhotoShop, Final Cut or other intense apps.

Thanks!

Hey James,
Currently we have 2 iMacs but all other Macs are using existing LCD monitors. We usually buy Viewsonic and our current minimum is 22" wide.

Regarding memory, 8Gig min and 18G max when using Final Cut.
We're just starting to get Macs into our network on an official basis, so some items will probably change.
Also invested the the Apple Remote Desktop application. It is very easy to use and don't think I've every remotely installed software as easy as it does it.

We use Dell UltraSharp 24 in displays for our two Mac Pros. The rest are iMacs.
No less than 4 gigs of ram in the Pros. 2gigs in our iMacs running Presenter.

Our graphic's folks are running with 2gig. They primarily use the Adobe Creative Suite packge. Our sound guy has 4 gig he uses Pro Tools and Reason.

Most are using just the laptop monitor but one is using just a generic monitor we had in storage. He isn't complaining.

We use Dell Ultrasharp 24" monitors. I have been told the Dell Ultrasharp monitors and the Apple Cinema displays are made the same. But of course the Dell monitors are cheaper.
